Many young persons are redeveloping an interest in the INVISIBLEbehind the VISIBLE. Moreover, we can learn everything from nature. All that we perceive in earthly life with the physical senses is comparable to the cosmic truth. Symbols are comparisons - physical, spiritual and graphic characters that represent a comprehensive meaning. Symbols are keys that can serve the orientation of man, and are, in general, instantly understood by the subconscious. Symbols transcend borders and are understood by people in other worlds. Even those whose mother tongue is different understand the messages that the picture symbols are supposed to express. Flowers have a symbolic meaning. Words likewise have a deep symbolism, consisting of syllables and sounds, that explain the meaning. Thus Auroville has been designed according to the symbol of a spiral. The spiral is the symbol of creation and eternal movement, of recurrence and developmental processes. It has been found in the art of the San (Khoikhoi) people in southern Africa in early times as well as in ice-age Europe. The Each One Teach One Crew will not only conduct an exchange of views, and workshops on the hip-hop art form at FUTURE School in Easter 2007, but will, above all, also gather information from the Tamil partners of the SVARAM / MOHANAM project in Kottakarai on the topic of symbols and values.
